Mondo.NYC announced the initial lineup of live music showcases for its inaugural New York City festival and summit September 14–18, featuring emerging artists hailing from Seattle to Sydney performing throughout the five-day music and technology event. Current performance venues selected for Mondo.NYC 2016 include Bowery Electric, Brooklyn Bowl, C’mon Everybody, Cake Shop, The Delancey, Drom, Friends and Lovers, The Hall at MP, Pianos and Webster Hall, with additional venues to be announced.
According to Mondo.NYC Founding Partner Gary Fortune, “Mondo’s showcase lineup represents a carefully-crafted list of artists we think are captivating and deserve attention. We’re presenting local and international acts from a variety of genres in iconic Manhattan and Brooklyn venues, a mondo spotlight on the brilliant music that NYC typically offers on any given week.”

Brooklyn-based rock band Active Bird Community • Anoraak, electro-pop musician from France • Latvian four-piece indie pop-rock band Carnival Youth • From DC, indie rock band Clones of Clones • Venice, CA/NYC band Faulkner • Hannah Scott, singer-songwriter from London/Ipswich • Hailing from Queens, five-piece rock band Hollis Brown • Alternative electro-pop musician Julietta • Up-and-coming local NYC artist Kathryn Gallagher • Australian electronic act Luke Million • Also out of Australia, from Adelaide, singer-songwriter, Mane • Opus Orange, indie-pop band from Santa Monica • Telegram, a UK four-piece intersection of psych, glam, synth, and indie rock.
