Conor Maynard Releases New Single, Announces His Biggest US Tour To-Date

Conor Maynard has just released his second new track of 2022, the R&B-leaning “P.G.N.L.,” out today on all digital platforms. The release coincides with the news of Conor’s ‘Continued’ world tour, his biggest headlining tour to-date, hitting more than 20 cities across the US and Europe.

“After not having the chance to tour for so long, it felt only right to come back with our biggest one yet,” Conor adds. “I am buzzing to get back on the road and back to what I love doing the most – performing to all you guys. They’ll be plenty of new music from me before then, so watch this space!”

On the new single, Conor adds: “There’s a few reasons as to why I’m so excited for everyone to hear this song. It’s the first song I’ve ever released that was completely written and produced by me alone. It’s also extremely personal to me, as it names the girl I used to be with. We were still together when I wrote this, hence the upbeat/happy nature of the song. It describes how we first met. I hope everyone enjoys.”

In March 2020, having spent a decade signed to a major label and achieving global success, Conor decided to step out as an independent artist for the next chapter in his career – and he hasn’t looked back since. Empowered by his newfound creative control, the singer has taken his global listenership to new levels, with his recent single “’What I Put You Through” hitting over 22 million total streams as well as Conor quickly becoming the UK’s 8th most followed TikTok music account despite only joining the platform in 2020.

P.G.N.L.” finds Conor continuing his fine run of form. Whereas his previous single “Dance With Somebody” was a tender pop-ballad, this track sees Conor’s flawless vocals effortlessly gliding across an upbeat instrumental, bursting with shimmering synths and tight drum patterns.

It’s one that’s readymade for Conor’s forthcoming world tour, his first run of shows since 2019. This timeframe was enforced due to the pandemic, but it also made Conor all the more eager to get back on the road and perform for his newfound fans across the world, as well as those who have been with him since his very first YouTube videos back in 2010.
