Spring Fever Debut “Just A Dream” Cover of Nelly Classic
Spring Fever returns! This time with their own take on a classic hip-hop track. Most of us have heard Nelly’s “Just A Dream” at some point. It might have been on MTV’s TRL after school, On the radio, who knows where, but the song still easily stands the test of time.
Spring Fever has taken the song and put a rock feel behind which really gives it its own unique feel!
Recently, we heard from Matty, the founder of Spring Fever, and here’s what he had to say about creating and inspiring the track.
“I had a handful of songs I wanted to cover, but they were either done before or didn’t translate well to hard rock/metal. I was flipping through XM one day and heard Just A Dream by Nelly and I had that song stuck in my head for days! So I started working on it in my studio and it came together seamlessly! I have my good friend and Impending Lies guitarist tighten up the guitar before heading off to work with Danny Cullman of Silver Creek Studios. In September I recorded vocals at Silver Creek Studios and the song was produced, mixed, and mastered by Danny Cullman.”
