Hall of Fame Village is thrilled to announce the Armored MMA Championship Fest, featuring heavy metal titans Lamb of God as the halftime headlining show, with special guest Drowning Pool and additional acts to be announced. This one-of-a-kind fusion of music and combat takes place Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.

Following tour stops in Texas, Oregon, North Carolina, and Tennessee, the Armored MMA Championship Fest will be the largest armored combat event ever held in the United States. This epic all-day festival marks the pinnacle of Armored MMA’s U.S. Tour, blending the high-energy world of full-contact medieval combat sports with the unforgettable intensity of live rock music. Fans will witness the world’s top armored fighters enter the cage in full steel armor, armed with medieval weapons, to compete for the title of 2025 AMMA Champion.
Grammy-nominated Lamb of God, known for their blistering live shows and anthems like “Laid to Rest,” “Redneck,” and “Walk with Me in Hell,” has earned a place alongside legends such as Metallica and Slayer while headlining arenas worldwide. Their most recent album, Omens, recorded live in the studio with longtime producer Josh Wilbur, has been hailed as one of their most ferocious and diverse releases yet.
Joining the lineup, Drowning Pool, the band behind the legendary hit “Bodies,” returns with longtime frontman Ryan McCombs back at the helm. Fresh off new singles “Revolution (The Final Amen)” and “Madness,” the band is gearing up for a brand-new album and a massive Sinner 25th anniversary celebration in 2026. Still one of the most powerful live acts in modern metal, Drowning Pool continues to bring their energy to fans worldwide.
In addition to another main-stage performance announcement coming soon, the Hall of Fame Village campus will feature a free-to-access side stage showcasing regional artists throughout the day. Attendees will also experience 12v12 medieval team fights, creating a festival atmosphere with continuous live music, fan zones, and armored combat entertainment for all ages.
“This event is more than a championship, it’s a one-of-a-kind experience,” said Anne Graffice, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, Public Affairs, and Partnerships at Hall of Fame Village. “Combining the thrill of Armored MMA with legendary rock acts creates a dynamic event that fans won’t find anywhere else.”
“This is what we dreamed of when we created Armored MMA,” said Mickey Guida, President and Founder of Armored MMA. “Crowning our 2025 champions in a historic venue, with iconic bands and an unmatched atmosphere, is the perfect way to make history for our fighters and our fans. This is as metal as you can get!”
