TAL WILKENFELD Premieres New Single “Corner Painter”

Musical marvel Tal Wilkenfeld has released her new single “Corner Painter” today. The track, which also includes Blake Mills on guitar and Benmont Tench (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) on keys, showcases the wunderkind and sought-after female bassist evolving from a virtuoso to a singer-songwriter. “Corner Painter” is an exciting new chapter for Tal, and is the first track she has released that wasn’t an instrumental song, showcasing her own stunning lyrics and vocals.

“Corner Painter” will be released on all digital platforms on March 4th, and the track will be available as a free download to those fans who purchase items on Tal’s new online merch store via PledgeMusic. The Pledge campaign will also launch tomorrow, March 4th via www.pledgemusic.com/TALWILKENFELD, and will include special experiences fans can buy – Skype bass lessons within Tal and even an intimate concert with Tal in their own livingroom! Other items include signed posters, signed instruments, handwritten lyrics, and more.

The young talent will be performing her new – and mostly unreleased – music while opening for The Who for their “The Who Hits 50 Tour” in North America. Simultaneously, Tal is also embarking on her first ever headline tour with dates that weave in between shows with The Who. See all tour dates listed below.

She has recorded studio projects with some of today’s most respected and iconic artists within the industry such as: Prince, Ryan Adams, Ringo Starr, Brian Wilson, Jackson Browne, Joe Walsh, Toto, Todd Rundgren and Trevor Rabin. She has also performed live with Sting, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler, Buddy Guy, David Gilmour and Billy Gibbons – which led to her role anchoring Pharrell and Hanz Zimmer on the 2015 GRAMMY Awards. Tal has also appeared on major TV network A&E performing with Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter.

Tal has made quite a name for herself since emerging onto the music scene as a teenager. After releasing her acclaimed, instrumental jazz debut, Transformation, Tal went on to tour with Chick Corea and Jeff Beck. Her performance at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Festival in Chicago has generated more than 10 million+ YouTube plays to date.
